DESCRIPTION:Sparkle has been painting for years\, reconnecting with her inner artist in 2014\, sparked by area paint and sips. Sparkle is also known as Sirocco on the belly dance circuit. SUMMARY:Music of Our Teenage Years with Dan Smith & Laura Cathcart
DESCRIPTION:Dan retired after 20 years as a musician in the U.S. Army\, where he served as instrumental instructor at the Armed Forces School of Music\, performed as oboe soloist and managed a Dixieland band for the South Carolina State Arts Commission. He has been a professional musician for 60+ years. He organized and led a big band\, German Band\, and a Dixieland band. In the military\, he served as the leader of the Continental Army Band Woodwind Quintet. He went on many quintet tours across the US and Europe. SUMMARY:Painting Tree & Mountains on Canvas with Mary Carol Lynch
DESCRIPTION:Mary Carol has worked with the Virginia Beach arts community at the Oceanfront for 25 years. She is a hands-on instructor who enjoys witnessing “lightbulb moments”. As an artist she enjoys painting in acrylics\, drawing\, and mixed media.  Her programs include: painting a scene of the participants’ choosing in acrylic\, working in collage with writing and drawing for a meaningful visual narrative\, and relaxed drawing and playing with color. \nRegistration is required.
