Mixed Media Collage-“Spring is about renewal” with Shawneequa Turner

Shawneequa Turner is a visual artist, educator, and community based creative with a background in interdisciplinary studies encompassing history, religion, journalism, and mass communication and as of 2025 studio art major. Shanequa’s visual art program encourages creative expressions and group participation through accessible hands-on art making using mix mediums. The poetry writing program uses words as a tool for self-expression and storytelling. This project invites participants to reflect on what “new beginnings” look like in nature and in their own lives.
